B.Sc Animation (Integrated with International Moving Image Society, UK)**– The new-age digital media has opened up a world of new opportunities. Today, there are thousands of multiplex screens across India and we have more than 800 TV channels. With a vibrant entertainment industry in place, the demand for digitally manipulated visual content is souring since new-age technologies can make visual content more presentable. From the times when the country was just an outsourcing destination for animation and VFX services to the time where billions of dollars are invested in Indian entertainment industry, we have come a long way. The growth is expected to continue in the years to come since India is moving from a service-based market to product-based market. The art of storytelling dates back to prehistoric cultures and even today, in the age of digital technology, the basic principles remain the same. The process of ‘ideation to screen’ involves the same fundamental principles of storytelling that were applied in the past. The program aims to help the students understand the fascinating world of Animation, VFX and Motion Graphics for film, broadcast, and other media pads. It has been designed by experts with inputs from several animation companies. The program will train the students in two specific domains.

First, they will understand the basic story and design concepts related to Pre-production for Animation, VFX, and Gaming.

Secondly, they will attain the special skill sets in the creation of Artwork for Production and Post-Production.

Program Details

The program aims to help the students understand the fascinating world of animation, VFX and motion graphics for film, broadcast and other media pads. This program offers Degree Certification in Animation. In addition to introducing students to the world of 3D digital art and VFX visualization, this program exposes students to industry relevant software. On successful completion of the program, students can continue their learning further to a professional level within Digital Art and VFX production design.
