While the pandemic still continues to disrupt normal operations, we continue to maintain normalcy as much as possible. This means, moving many of our regular trainings and activities online, which was the case for this year’s Faculty Development Program.
The Faculty Development Program 2020 was aimed at training MTech Freshers (recruited as faculty members through campus interviews) at various campuses across different locations. This training was conducted between July 27, 2020, and August 27, 2020. The trainees were provided insights into various technical topics and the teaching-learning process. The last 5 days of the program were dedicated to rigorous trainings in each member’s specialization topic(s). Daily assessments, as well as assignments and mini projects, were conducted as per the specializations allocated for each trainee.
The “Valedictory Program” was held on August 29, 2020, from 10.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m.
The program was attended by all FDP Participants, SMEs, Academic Heads, Faculties, the Learning Studio Team, IT Vertical Heads, and the President and CLO of iNurture Education Solutions.
The program commenced with the seeking of blessings from Goddess Saraswati through “Saraswati Vandana”. This was followed by an introduction of the program and a welcome speech from Dr. Shubhra Banerji, the Vertical Head of IT Program Design and Enhancement.
Dr. Shradha Kanwar, the CLO of iNurture Education Solutions, wished the newly trained faculty members the very best for their new endeavour. She emphasized the importance of research at each and every step of their career.
Dr. Sujay Nair, the President of CraSa at iNurture, interacted with the participants with respect to their learnings during the FDP program and motivated them to succeed in their new role.
Certificates of Merit were awarded to the top 3 participants who were adjudged the best with respect to their daily assessments, specialization assessments, and videos created for their lecture topics. Certificates of Participation were awarded to all participants.
The “feedback videos” were played for a few participants which gave us a closer look at the participants’ views on the entire program. We also had our Academic Head, Mr. Abhijit Powar and SME, Mr. Venkatesha, speak a few words about the entire event and their experiences with the trained faculty.
The event was concluded with a “Vote of Thanks” by Dr. Vinay Goyal, Vertical Head, IT – Program Governance and Excellence. In conclusion, the Faculty Development Program was a tremendous success, not just in terms of participation but also in the learnings during this “new normal”. As we head into the new academic year, we wish our newest members the best.
