Induction Program for BCA – General and Specialization@ Jain University, Bangalore

DAY – 1
The three day induction programme for BCA – General & Specialization option students (dual specializations of Cloud Tech. & Info. Security; IT Infra & Info. Security; Cloud Tech. & Mobile Apps an Info. Security & Mobile Apps;) got off to a grand start with the address by Dr. Shanthi Iyer, Center Head, Jain College, J. C Road campus. The students were given an insight into various courses that are being offered by Jain University. All the departmental activities that were conducted by the faculties of various departments including NSS, NCC and Sports were showcased to the students to give them a wholesome idea about the institution.

Later, ice breaking session was conducted in which all the newly admitted BCA students participated and displayed their talent.

DAY -2
The second day started with address by Ms. Shalini Shrivastava, IT Mentor for the BCA specialization courses. She spoke about the importance of IT and the emerging sectors in it. She also gave an insight to students on how to groom themselves to become employable in the IT industry during the three year course tenure.

The next session was conducted by Mohammed Unis, a successful trainer, on personality development. It involved various games and student presentation sessions. The session was well received by the students as it was highly engaging and participatory in nature during which they got to know their peers well.

This was followed by a session by Satya Sidhartha Panda on “ATTITUDE MATTERS”, which was inspirational and motivational for the students.

DAY – 3
On the last day the students were addressed by Industrial Experts from M/s. Pelican Brown on career development.
