On December 3, 2015 Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology extended its geographical footprint to Kerala, with the inauguration of C4 – Centre for Creative and Cultural Capital by Mr. OommenChandy, Chief Minister of Kerala at KINFRA Film and Video Park at Kazhakuttam, Trivandrum. Kerala Industries and IT Minister, P K Kunhalikutty; P H Kurian, Principal Secretary, Industries and IT, Govt. of Kerala; Geetha Narayanan, Founder-Director of Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Bangalore; Dr G C GopalaPillai, Managing Director, KINFRA; and Mr. AshwinAjila, Founder and MD, iNurture Education Solutions Pvt. Ltd. were some of the dignitaries present at the inauguration This inauguration came about after iNurture Education Solutions Pvt. Ltd. and Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Bengaluru, signed a pact with The Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (KINFRA) on November 24, 2015 which helped expand the latter’s operations and procure technology-based capabilities to nurture the creative abilities of the youth.
KINFRA is a leading infrastructure giant in Kerala that aims to bring various important infrastructural names to the state. KINFRA Film and Video Park is the fully owned subsidiary company of KINFRA. It is the first Infotainment Industrial Park in the country and is present in a beautifully landscaped area of 75 acres of land at Kazhakuttam, Trivandrum city in Kerala. C4 will be yet another important addition to the park.
“C4 will primarily focus on digital filmmaking and digital media arts, which includes animation, visual effects and gaming design; user experience and interaction engineering; and graphic arts with information and experience design” said Dr. Geetha Narayanan, Founder-Director of Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology, after signing the MOU. She expressed confidence that the Centre for Creative and Cultural Capital would add a new dimension to the aspects that define Thiruvananthapuram. The Centre will focus on diverse avenues of the digital media technology, viz. gaming, new media, experimental films, animation and graphics arts and experience design.
