Launch of New-Age Undergraduate Programs at Jain University

The classes for the inaugural batch of Bachelor of International Business & Finance (BIBF) started on a high note with a well-knit orientation programme held on Thursday, 18th July’13 at Jain University Bangalore. The event was set in motion by Amit Punjabi, Head trainer, Sankalp Academy, who spoke on the significance and the impact that the next three years will have on the students’ life and set the stage for Prof. Lakshminarayanan, former CEO, Mudra Communications and Vertical Head and Mentor for Creative Management at iNurture Education Solutions, for inducting the students into BIBF programme. Students, fresh out of schools/ pre-university colleges, with dreams in their eyes and a mix of anxiety and excitement in their hearts, were a bit guarded in their response and participation initially. But as Prof. Lakshminarayanan took the center stage and started engaging them in his inimitable style, they opened up and the class became more interactive. He eased the students into the fascinating world of International Business, Branding & Marketing with his spell binding presentation. As the session progressed, students got a glimpse of what is in store for them for the next three years – serious business mixed with fun. Prof. Pawan, Vertical Head and Mentor, Financial Services at iNurture Education Solutions, addressed the students subsequently and explained the fundamentals of Financial Services to the students. The event ended with an address from Dr. Easwaran Iyer, Dean – Jain University, who welcomed the students and wished them best of luck for their future.

Bachelor of International Business & Finance (BIBF) with specialization options in International Business and Financial Services, is one among the set of new-age career-ready UG and PG programmes introduced by Jain University in association with their industry knowledge partner iNurture Education Solutions. Other courses offered under this initiative belong to the fast growing sectors of Animation/ Visual Effects, IT Infrastructure, Information Security, Mobile Applications Technology and Information Storage & Cloud Technology. Starting from the academic year 2013-14, these full time courses will be conducted at Jain University’s Jayanagar and J C Road campuses in Bangalore.
