Launch of New-Age Postgraduate Programs at Jain University

The new-age career-ready postgraduate programmes, jointly offered by Jain University and its industry knowledge partner iNurture Education Solutions Pvt. Ltd., were launched on Thursday 5th Sept, 2013 at the Jain University campus, Jayanagar 9th Block, Bangalore. The students who enrolled for innovative programmes such as Master of International Business (MIB), Master of Financial Management (MFM), M. Sc. Information Security Management Services, M. Sc. Storage & Cloud Technology and M. Sc. Animation, along with the students who enrolled for other advanced postgraduate programmes from Jain University in related areas were taken through a one day orientation programme as part of their induction into the university.

The day’s proceedings began with invocation of blessings which was followed by lighting of the lamp, a symbol of knowledge, by Dr. Easwaran Iyer, Dean, Jain University, Prof. A. Achutha, HOD Computer Science, Jain University and Dr. C. Manohar, Director – Operations, iNurture Education Solutions, along with a student representative. This was followed by an address by Dr. Easwaran Iyer who took the students through the journey of Jain Group of Institutions (JGI) and that of Dr. Chenraj Roychand, the entrepreneur behind it, which is playing a key role in lifting the bar in education in India. Dr. Easwaran Iyer’s mention about the distance covered and the landmarks achieved including the establishment of three universities and achieving a student base of over 45000 across 53 campuses was received by thunderous applause by the audience comprising of students, parents, faculty and staff members from JGI & iNurture. Dr. Easwaran Iyer went ahead to urge the students to stay focused and never forget the importance of hard work. The dean interacted with the students subsequently to know their background and the reason they have chosen their courses and the institution. The morning session was concluded with sumptuous lunch.

Students were taken through orientation sessions by their respective heads of verticals, department and faculty during the post lunch session.
