Academics is not the only field our young students excel in; their achievements far outreach the classroom.
Proof of this is Mr. Parminder Singh, a first-year BCA Data Science student from Ajeenkya DY Patil University.
A remarkable athlete, Mr. Singh demonstrated his prowess in Rowing at the 2019 Asian Championship held in Bangkok, Thailand. His achievements in the Asian Rowing Indoor Championships are listed below.
- Gold – Men’s Double (M2X) 2000 M with a time of 06:14.5
- Silver – Mix Four (MIX 4X) 500 M with a time of 01:32.1
- Gold – Men’s Single (M1X) 2000 M with a time of 06:12.4
Besides the medals, Mr. Singh also set a new Asian record for the same.
India had an impressive run winning seven gold (two bagged by Mr. Singh), five silver, and one bronze at the event.
Mr. Singh has not only made ADYPU and iNurture proud but also made the country proud. We are immensely delighted to have such an esteemed athlete as part of our student body.
